Maximale Leistung wird mit 87 Oktan Kraftstoff erreicht, da Crusader-Motoren mit Kraftstoffeinspritzung darauf abgestimmt sind. Für die Verwendung mit der werksseitig eingestellten Zündzeitpunkt ist Premium-Normalbenzin mit einer (R+M/2) Oktanzahl erforderlich.
 
Empfiehlt Crusader eine bestimmte Ölsorte für seine Motoren?
Verwenden Sie ein hochwertiges SAE 15W-40 "SJ", wenn die Durchschnittstemperatur über 10 Grad Celsius liegt. Verwenden Sie SAE 5W-30 "SJ" unter 10 Grad Celsius. Die Verwendung von synthetischen Ölen in Crusader-Motoren wird nicht empfohlen.
 
Erklären Sie Crusaders Haltung zur Ethanolnutzung?
Diese Warnung gilt nur für CRUSADER-Motoren und deren Verwendung von Ethanol-Kraftstoffen. Die Verwendung von Ethanol-Kraftstoffen in Schiffs-bezogenen Teilen wie Boots-Kraftstofftanks, Boots-Kraftstoffleitungen, Boots-Kraftstofffiltern usw. wird nicht behandelt. Dem Bootseigner wird DRINGEND geraten, sich mit dem Bootshersteller zu beraten, ob die Verwendung von Ethanol-Kraftstoff in seinem Boot angemessen ist.
Ethanol-Kraftstoffmischungen mit einer E10-Einstufung oder darunter sind zulässig.
 
Kraftstoffe mit einer Einstufung höher als E10 werden NICHT empfohlen.
 
Ethanol-Kraftstoffe mit einer höheren Einstufung als E10 können den Motor beschädigen und/oder gefährliche Bootsbedingungen verursachen. Die Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf Motorschäden, die durch die Verwendung von Ethanol-Kraftstoff mit einer E10-Einstufung oder höher verursacht werden.
 
Welche Art von Kühlmittel wird für die Verwendung in einem Crusader-Motor / Kühlsystem empfohlen?
Für Motoren mit geschlossenen Kühlsystemen empfiehlt Crusader eine Mischung aus 50 % DEX-COOL und 50 % Wasser oder ein anderes geeignetes Langzeitkühlmittel (rosa/orangefarben). Kühlmittelstände über 50 % können zu Überhitzung führen. DEX-COOL nicht mit herkömmlichem silikatischem Kühlmittel mischen oder an dessen Stelle verwenden (grün gefärbt).
