B4 Replacement Blade Set 13 X 24 | Piranha Propellers 1324B-4

Used primarily on sterndrives (approximatey 110 Hp to 135 Hp) and outboard motors (approximatey 75 Hp - 125 Hp). These are semi-cupped propeller blades and are used with B-4 style Piranha Propeller hubs.

Please note this item is a pre-packaged SET of (4) propeller blades. Individual blades can be ordered separately.

You’ve probably already heard it all before from your veteran boating buddies, the folks at the marina, and every magazine writer in the business, that “You should always carry a spare boat propeller.” That’s not bad advice at all. But if you use a Piranha prop, we’ve got BETTER advice:

Piranha’s boat propeller offers the fastest repair time around, but it’s important to have the parts to do the repair with. Whether you use 3 blade boat propellers or 4 blade boat propellers, since you can’t break more blades than are on the prop, we encourage you to simply carry a full spare set. True, you probably won’t damage them all at once, but this way you can ensure the propeller remains properly balanced and maintains the correct propeller pitch. Besides, won’t you feel better knowing you can fix it if you do, without ruining the rest of your day?

  • A complete Piranha Propeller is made up of the Hub,  either 3 or 4 Blades, and the Cap.
Piranha blades are designed to absorb the shock of a propeller strike, protecting the lower unit, gears and prop shaft from damage. Each blade is manufactured from a specially formulated high-strength aerospace composite material. The center hub is manufactured with an aluminum core over-molded with the same high-strength composite used for the blades. Every Piranha blade comes with HydroBites — precision ridges that improve hole shot, reduce vibration and control ventilation associated with tight turns. The rear cap completes the propeller and secures the blades in the hub.

Ordered a Piranha Propellers Complete A-Series 4 Blade Propeller from Macomb Marine Parts and even though we’re international, it arrived in just over a week — fast and reliable service. The propeller itself is a real lifesaver. We had the same model before, and after hitting a rock that damaged two blades, we were able to swap them right on the water and make it back to the marina without issue — something you simply can’t do with a regular aluminum prop. For peace of mind we decided to buy a complete new set (hub and blades) since an impact like that could cause hidden damage, but the system really proved its worth.

Piranha Propeller

I couldn’t find a Piranha propeller dealer near me in Canada but found Macomb Marine Parts who could deliver to me. The order process was smooth and I was even contacted via email for clarification regarding blade shape and they were very helpful in choosing the best shape for my purposes.
I can’t comment on the prop’s performance yet as we haven’t had the boat in the water yet.
