Frequently Asked Questions
1. Will this decal fit my Crusader 454 XL engine?
The Crusader 22841 is the OEM decal for the 454 XL engine designation. Confirm your engine model is the Crusader 454 XL before ordering — Crusader produced multiple 454-based engine variants with different decals for each designation. Contact us at MacombMarineParts.com with your engine serial number if you need to confirm the correct decal part number for your specific engine.
2. How do I remove the old decal before applying the replacement?
Only in a well ventilated area. Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to soften the old decal adhesive, then peel slowly from one corner. Remove adhesive residue with an adhesive remover or isopropyl alcohol before applying the new decal. Apply the new decal to a clean, dry surface at room temperature for best adhesion.
